Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026. Candidates who wish to become teachers for Classes I to VIII in Central Government Schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other CBSE-affiliated schools can apply online from 11 May 2026 to 10 June 2026. CTET Eligibility

CTET Paper-I (Primary Level: Class I to V)

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following eligibility conditions:

  • 10+2 with at least 50% marks and 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • 10+2 with at least 45% marks and Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE norms.
  • 10+2 with at least 50% marks and 4-Year B.El.Ed.
  • 10+2 with at least 50% marks and Diploma in Special Education.

CTET Paper-II (Junior Level: Class VI to VIII)

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following conditions:

  • Graduation with 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation/Post Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed.
  • Graduation with 45% marks and B.Ed. as per NCTE norms.
  • 10+2 with 50% marks and 4-Year B.El.Ed.
  • 10+2 with 50% marks and B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • Post Graduation with 55% marks and Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
